All Sections Day

Dear Leaders,

As we have done at previous West Sussex international camps, held at Ardingly
showground, we would like to extend an invitation to all uniformed members not
attending the camp, to come and visit on Wednesday 6th August 2025.

We want Rainbows,
Squirrels, Beavers, Brownies, Cubs, Guides, Scouts, Rangers, and Explorers along with
their Leaders to come and see what the camp is all about and make them want to attend
the next WSIJ.

Groups can arrive from 10:30am and stay until 4:30pm. Cost will be £10 per young
member, which includes £5 of tokens to spend at the charities fair in the afternoon,
certain activities in the morning and an event badge. For leaders and non-members aged
3 and above, and under 18, it will be £5. This will include an event badge, but no
activities and no tokens. If adults or non-members wish to take part in the charities fair,
tokens will be available to purchase on the day.

All adults attending on the day must have a Guiding or Scouting DBS.
Uniform should be worn. Packed lunch needs to be brought.

There will be activities to take part in from 11-1pm and our usual charity fair from 2pm
with lots of stalls costing 1 token each to take part. All profits from this will go to the
camp charities, The Springboard Project, based in Horsham, supporting children with
SEND and the Mel Ford Leadership Fund, supporting young leaders in Guiding and
Scouting.

There will also be opportunities to visit the shops within Mount Olympus so additional
spending money is optional.

You do not need to be connected to a group who is camping to attend.
Space is limited, and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
If possible, please travel by coach or minibus, if not, then car sharing is recommended to
ease the volume of traffic entering and leaving the site.

The deadline for applying to visit is 13th June 2025. No late entries will be accepted.
To book your place, please complete the booking form linked below and email to [email protected]

An email confirming your places will be sent along with details of how to make payment.

Registrations will open from the 6th May.

Ice creams can also be pre ordered when making your booking. Flavours available are
chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and a vegan raspberry ripple option, each costing £1.
Payment must be received by the 15th June to confirm your places.

As it costs us to bank cheques, please pay by BACS if possible, if a unit can’t make BACS
payments, it would be appreciated of districts or divisions could pay on their behalf.

You are responsible for getting consent forms completed. These have been pre-populated
for you and sent with this letter.

This is a large-scale event, and photos will be taken.

We have compiled answers to some FAQ’s too, which have also been circulated with this
letter, and should be available on the website soon.
