I have volunteered with Girlguiding for many years, working with all sections, currently with Rainbows. I have had a broad experience in leadership roles within my county, including International, Marketing and County Commissioner 

I have not only a passion for Girlguiding but also International, and have been fortunate to travel privately to many countries. I led a Girlguiding group to Japan, and  in 2014 was instrumental in setting up with a local charity &  co-leading the inaugural county service project to South Africa. It still continues 10 years later! 

For me though, International experiences aren’t just about travelling abroad, which is why I consider the WS camps / WSIJ  so important. They give Scouts & Guides the opportunity to meet other young people from abroad & learn about their culture in a safe, friendly and enjoyable environment. I have been involved in many WS camps and was the International Team Leader for WS2017. I am really looking forward to making some new friends & meeting previous ones in 2025. As the song goes ’one is silver & the other gold’!
